Beverly M. Davis, 86, of Castlewood passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, surrounded by her family after a brief battle with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, April 15, 2021, at American Lutheran Church, in Castlewood. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the church. Masks are asked to be worn at your own comfort. Geise Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Beverly M. Holt was born on August 27, 1934, in Watertown, SD, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Fjeldseth) Holt. She attended Watertown School through high school. She was united in marriage to Edwin Davis on January 14, 1954 in Elco, NV. They were blessed with six children. Aside from raising her children, Beverly worked at the Red Owl, in Castlewood, Woolworth's, in Watertown, drove bus for the Castlewood School District and was an activities assistant at Estelline Nursing and Care Center.
In her retirement, Beverly loved the time she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her passion and excitement. She was an avid follower of their activities and always looked forward to playing board games or card games with the family. She also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to have visited all 50 states. She was a longtime member of American Lutheran Church and was active in circle and bible study.
Beverly is survived by her children, Patti Davis of Brookings, Glenn Davis, Clint (Becky) Davis, Jeanette (Larry) Bohls, all of Castlewood, Anita (Edward) Raml, of Goodwin, and Donna (Tom) Williams, of Oklahoma City, OK; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Edwin; a child in infancy; two sisters and three brothers.
