Mrs. Beverly Joyce Ware Brinson, age 88, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her son's residence.
Mrs. Brinson was born in Vidalia, Georgia on November 2, 1933, daughter of the late Henry Ware and the late Florence Horne Ware Woolley. Beverly and Kennon traveled extensively in their motorhome across the United States, always on the lookout for lighthouses along the way. She was a long-term member of Fellowship Baptist Church and served several years in the nursery there. She was generous in her love for family and friends. She gave to others in need and to many charities and ministries including St. Jude's.
She is survived by her sons, Alan (Roxanne) Brinson and Chester (Marie) Brinson; her daughter, Julie Milliman (Keith); her grandchildren, Evan Milliman, Ethan Milliman (Elice), Tiffanie Jarrell (Tony), Ashley Wade, and Amber Gentry (Colin); her 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, William Kennon Brinson, by her son, David Brinson, and by her daughter-in-law, Carol Brinson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 6:30pm at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Brady Fortenberry, the Rev. Matthew Bowdon, and the Rev. Tim Bray officiating. Mrs. Brinson will then be taken to Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton, Georgia for a service on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 3:00pm. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday from 4:30 pm until the service time and in Soperton from 2:00pm until the service time.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday at 6:00pm and include: Evan Milliman, Ethan Milliman, Landon Wade, and Keith Milliman.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Mrs. Brinson's memory.
