Bettye Jane Cole, 88, of Bryan, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, in Bryan surround by her loving family while at her bedside with Jill. Inurnment Life Tribute Service will at 11am, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Tx. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Bettye was born one of fourteen children to John and Ethel McFadden Hood, in Arlington, Texas. Shortly after high school she married her sweetheart whom they shared sixty-five years before his passing in 2018, Martin Randolph Cole. She and Martin were blessed with three wonderful children in their marriage Ethelyn, Marty, and Wendy. Bettye worked at Voertman's before moving to Bryan in 1981. She was employed here in Bryan through Bryan ISD for many years, and with another funeral service provider in town. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 222.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin R. Cole; her parents John and Ethel; her fourteen siblings. Mother and Father in law; Gus and Clara Cole
Bettye Jane is survived by her children Jill, Ethelyn Carr, Marty Cole and wife Sena, and Wendy Kuder and fianc?e John Means; her grandchildren Ashley Kuder and Danny Reyes, Lindsey Watson (Ramsey), Lindon Carr III, and Blake Kuder; her great-grandchildren Ethan Arredondo, Rylee Watson, Landry Reyes, Hadlee Watson and Penelope Carr; Sister in laws Omalie Hood/Hardy, Beverly Hood, Linda Hood, Earlyn Hood, brother-in-law, David Robinson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert William "Bill" Cole and wife Vera Linaham Cole, Mary Lucille Cole and husband Oscar Shelton, sister-in-law Sue Norman Cole; her foster brother Eddie Martin that Martin and Bettye Cole raised as their own son; and numerous nephews and nieces.
The Family would like to thank Legacy Nursing and Rehab along with Traditions Hospice for the love and care for Bettye, as she was their own.
