Betty Marie Williams, 93, passed away May 3 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Betty was born August 17, 1926 in New Albany, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Pauline Williams. She graduated from Columbus High school in 1944 and worked at Murphy Dime Store for 25 years. She also spent several years working for Hunter Pharmacy in Greensburg, Indiana where she eventually retired.
Betty loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, and embroidering, and was a long-time member of Columbus Free Methodist Church.
A private graveside service for Betty will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Survivors include her brother, Charles Williams; two sisters, Patty Jones and Charlotte Middendorf; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Donations in Betty's name may be made to Columbus Free Methodist Church.
