Betty Jean Spears

Betty Jean (Goff) Spears, age 93, passed away March 20, 2022, in Memphis, Tennessee. She and her husband, C. A. Spears were longtime Houston/Pasadena residents and started Oaks TV, in 1951. They were lifelong members of First Methodist Church (Pasadena) and longtime community leaders in politics, business, and phylanthrophy. Also, the couple was involved with Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Betty Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, C.A. Spears, Sr. and her oldest son, Clifton Allen Spears, Jr. Her remaining son, Jeff Spears survives to celebrate her life, love, and legacy. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Drew B. Spears and Shane E. Spears (Hilary).

A private service was held at her church, Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Memphis, Tennessee. There will be a private service at Houston National Cemetery. Pasadena Funeral Home has charge.
