Betty R. Sandlin, 96, passed away at Homeview Health and Rehab on August 25, 2022.
She was born on November 11, 1925 in Boise, Idaho to L.D. and Merle (Hodgins) Totten. She married Melvin Davis in 1944 and they had 2 daughters together. She later married Gene Sandlin and he preceded her in passing after 30 years of marriage.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Sondra Amos and Karen Murray; grandchildren, Lisa Karol Taulman, Kenneth Matthew Taulman, Christine Murphy, Michael "Mike" P. Murray (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Ashley Noelle Bertram, Timothy Davis Bertram, Hunter Partin, Ian Partin, Zachary Partin, Abigail Leeper (Robert), and Emily Murray; great-great grandchildren, Ezra Lee Michael Foster, Adeline Leeper, and Rylee Leeper; and sister, Joy Kranzusch.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, L.D. and Merle; husband, Gene; son-in-law, Carl Murray; and 4 brothers.
Betty graduated in 1943 from Sparta High School in Sparta, Michigan. She worked for the State of Indiana at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles where she was a supervisor of her department.
Betty was a past member of Hillview Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf. She loved to bowl, play cards, and watch IU basketball. She enjoyed reading books.
There will be no services at this time. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
