Betty Sampley

Betty Sampley, 88, was called home to be with her Lord on April 5, 2024. Betty passed away at home with her children by her side in Rush Springs.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Rush Springs Cemetery with Zach Brown officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services of Marlow.

Betty was born Feb. 22, 1936 to Robert Daniel Ryans and Flossie Mae (Medlin) Ryans on Blue Beaver Creek, near Cache. Betty Ryans met the love of her life, Robert Joe Sampley, in Rush Springs. They were united in marriage on May 3, 1952 in Lawton, and they shared 66 years together before Robert preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2018. Betty worked as a homemaker, and she took great pride in her home. Betty cherished raising her children and caring for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard and caring for her flower beds. Betty leaves behind a legacy of love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, Michael Robert Sampley, daughter, Judith Sampley Anderson, and granddaughter, Elicia Cummings Ellis.

Betty is survived by two brothers: Jimmy Ryans of Lawton, and Bobby Ryans of Anadarko: three daughters: Beverly Seaba, Susan Gibson, and Cheryl Lynn Cox of Rush Springs; four grandchildren: Dana Simpson, Chrystal Greg, Robert Daniel Loyd, and Amy Lynn Delk, and nine great-grandchildren.
