Betty Jane (Koehn) Lowe, age 97 passed away on December 28, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by her husband Bruce Lowe of 75 years. Also, surviving are her three children and their families: Peggy L. (Lowe) Shippen and husband Ernie of Salem, Oregon, Curtis L. Lowe and wife Sandra of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Spencer B. Lowe and wife Holly of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and grandchildren: Sarah E. Lowe and Davis C. Lowe. Her deceased parents Myrtle B. Koehn and August W. Koehn lived in Michigan most of their lives. Her sister Marguerite Roper of Melbourne, Florida preceded her in death in 1999.
She married Bruce Lowe July 14, 1945 in Flint, Michigan. They retired to Prescott, Arizona in 1985 where they lived for nearly 20 years moving to Jacksonville in 2003.
Bruce and Betty Jane have been privileged to enjoy the fellowship of many good friends in Michigan, Arizona and Florida, and they were long time members of First Congregational Church in Prescott, Arizona. Betty Jane was an active member of the Mclaren Hospital auxiliary as a buyer for the Gift Shop and a board member while living in Flint, Michigan. She also was an active volunteer at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona and a long time PEO member of chapter ay. She belonged to several bridge groups and enjoyed playing with her husband also.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army or a favorite charity.
