Betty Jean Krepelka, 89, of Berlin, died January 22, 2021 at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh. Born March 14, 1931 in Berlin, daughter of Leroy W. "Watty" and Raye E. (Hoffman) Diveley. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 65 years John R. Sr., daughter Jane Marie Krepelka, grandson Lucas Woy, brothers Leroy and Charles Diveley; and sisters Anna Mae Witt and Catherine Woytek. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children: Joyce married to Daniel Woy Jr. of Bakersville, John Jr. married to the former Sandy Pittman, Michael married to the former Cindy Aurndt, Thomas, Christopher married to the former Christine Augustine, and Stephen, all of Berlin; grandchildren: Beth (Brad) Burk, Daniel (Misty) Woy III, April (Jeremy) Friedline, Amos (Marlee) Woy, Jane (Chris) Bosch, Jolene (Jason) Stiffey, Jana (Joe), Jessica, and Zachary Krepelka, and Carrie (Kevin) Bittner; great grandchildren: Laurel, Madelyn, Isaac, and Alana Burk, Kaitlyn, Hailey, and Lydia Friedline, Noel Woy, Noah Brant, and Mason and Warren Stiffey; and she was a direct descendant of Abraham Clark, whom signed the Declaration of Independence. She was a 1949 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Berlin, Berlin Historical Society, and the National Wildlife Federation. She enjoyed bird watching, golf cart rides, attending church, feeding her fish, water lilies, picking 4-leaf clovers, spending time in her greenhouse, and Sunday meals with her family. Family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home Berlin. Masks and social distancing are required. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Berlin. Rev. Stephen Shin OFM Cap. celebrant. Interment Church Cemetery.
