Betty (Elizabeth) Ann Yeaton (Green) passed away on September 16, 2022 from complications from COVID 19 and advanced dementia. Betty was born on January 14, 1932 in Memorial Hospital, Concord, NH the first of two children born to Ernest and Marie Green (Walker). She was raised in Concord and attended St. John's School graduating in 1950. In 1952 she graduated from Concord Commercial College and worked for the State of New Hampshire in the Welfare Department. In 1954 she met Harold Yeaton at a dance in Deerfield, NH at 'The Old Barn'. On June 16, 1956 she married Harold and had one son and 3 daughters.
She worked as a homemaker raising their children along with various furred and feathered creatures. She had a dry and oftentimes irreverent sense of humor, surprising for such an introvert but much appreciated by her children. A stickler for detail, 'Semper Paratus' was her motto. She instilled in her children the joy of reading, the value of a job well done, and kindness will get you everywhere.
Many hours were spent with her husband, Harold (co founder of the Pierce Brigade) volunteering at the home of President Franklin Pierce during the 70's and 80's.
Betty was an avid flower gardener and surrounded her home with native wildflowers, attracting bees, birds, toads, woodchucks, and all manner of life whom she all loved. Her buff cochin hen, 'Blondie',
was a frequent companion for her during her 70's and lived to be 13 years old.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Harold and parents Ernest and Marie. She is survived by her sister, Elinor Merrill (Green) and husband Karl Merrill; her four children, Elinor Yeaton, Gary Yeaton and wife Sylvia (Emery), Eileen (Yeaton) Gregory an husband Jim Gregory, Liz (Yeaton) Sargent and husband Lloyd Sargent; five grandchildren, Aaron Yeaton, Colleen (Yeaton) DeAngelis and husband Aaron, Lloyd Sargent, Marie (Sargent) Larson and husband Seth Larson, Joseph Sargent and wife Sabrina (Sargent); and two great grandchildren, Chyanne Sargent and Wyatt Larson.
