The world lost a beloved mother, Betty Cochran, on August 5, 2022.
She passed peacefully knowing she was deeply loved by God and her family.
She was born in Washington, PA on October 31, 1920. She married her childhood sweetheart, a WWII hero, James M. Cochran Jr. in 1942.
Her outgoing personality and love of life made her a favorite of many, she lived an amazing 101 years and 9 months. She knew the joy of serving others in scouts, schools and the community. She cooked thousands of Meals on Wheels and faithfully led and inspired Christian women. After retiring to Florida in 2005 she became a published poet and received several awards for her paintings.
She is predeceased by her husband in 1993 and is survived by her three daughters; Linda Fiedler, Marilyn Cochran-Smith and Karen Cochran Beaulieu, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She graduated with the highest honors from the University of Motherhood, Kindness and Love.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on October 18, 2022 at 4:00pm at Village View Community Church 8585 SE 147th Place, Summerfield, FL 32162.
