Betty Lou Cantrell, age 77, passed away after a long battle with cancer at her home in Grovetown, GA on Sunday, March 07, 2021. Survivors include her two sons, James Emmett Cantrell (Grace Strott), of Piedmont and Ray Ryan Cantrell (Janie Puckett), of Grovetown, GA; one daughter, Yancy Leeann Cantrell, of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Magan Hicks Glover (Matthew) and Brenton Emmett Cantrell (Cara Hogue) of Piedmont, and Kathleen Jewel Cantrell of Grovetown, GA; three great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Nicolas Glover, and Brantley Cantrell of Piedmont. Mrs. Cantrell was a longtime resident of Piedmont and a Springs Industries retiree. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Otis Richerson, her mother, Minnie Lee Brooks, her brothers James Earl and Otis C., and her sister, Shairl Darlene McClellan.
