A graveside service for Betty S. Butts, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Oak Grove Cemetery, 169 Oak Grove Church Road, Bentley, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Bruce Maxwell.
Betty was born June 11, 1940, in Pineville, Louisiana to Lonnie G. Sims and Audette Rambo Sims, and passed away on May 29, 2022, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Betty worked at the Veterans Affairs for 31 years as a phone operator. Her hobbies included shopping for shoes, clothes, purses, and jewelry. She liked dancing. Betty was a lovely wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all.
Betty is preceded by parents; daughter, Sherry Lynn Sheffield; sister, Grace Murphy; brothers, Max Goree, James Sims, and Vernon Sims. She is survived by her husband, Richard Butts; son, Randy Bordelon and wife, Jessica; stepson, Brian Butts; grandchildren, Corey Bordelon, Kaili Bordelon, Kerri Howell, Alexis Howell, Nathan Butts, Austin Butts; great-grandson, Shepard Bordelon; nine other great-grandchildren; sister, Quincy Vinson and husband, Ray; along with several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Corey Bordelon, Brian Butts, William Murphy, Jack Roszell, and Jayden Talbot.
