BETTY (HARRIS) BOSTIC, died peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. Betty was born in Tutwiler, Miss., on Aug. 27, 1946. She moved to Fort Wayne when she was 9 years old. In her last years, Betty lived in Cleveland, Ohio, and gained many additional friends and supporters who grew to love and admire her for her beauty, kindness, and joyful spirit. Betty graduated from Central High School in 1964. She was an active member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Betty retired from Lincoln Life Insurance after working for the company for 32 years. Betty is survived by her daughter, Joy R. Bostic of Cleveland, Ohio; two sons, Adrian M. Bostic of Morrisville, N.C., and Arian (Kristen) R. Bostic of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Clifford (Brenda) Harris; and four sisters, Joyce (Elijah) Davis, Beverly (Roosevelt) Cobb and Dwilette Hoskins, all of Fort Wayne. A Celebration of Life honoring Betty was held in Fort Wayne on April 30, 2022.
