Betty Ann Krywicki, age 81, of Fort Wayne passed away May 9, 2023 at her home. She was born in Michigan to the late Louis and Elanor Bozin. It was rewarding for her to complete her education from Westfield State University after it was delayed by marriage and raising a family.
Betty Ann was the Governor's appointee to the Board of Directors of the Children's Trust Fund of Massachusetts, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Northwestern District Attorneys Child Advocacy Center Project. Betty Ann spent 20 years as a volunteer curating art for Cooley Dickinson Hospital and was active in raising money and supporting groups and agencies for the prevention of child abuse.
Betty Ann enjoyed many visits to New York for Broadway shows, golf, and owning a sailboat that took her to many beautiful ports on the Long Island Sound. She always looked forward to her weekly bridge group especially when it was her turn to host, and she appreciated all the artists that exhibited when she curated art for the three galleries at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She loved playing the piano and her lessons at Sweetwater Academy. Most of all Betty Ann always put her family first and love spending time with her wonderful friends. She took great joy in living close to her beautiful daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She once wrote "Watching her children grow into healthy adults provided her with a wonderful experience".
Betty Ann is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Krywicki of Fort Wayne; children: Joseph Krywicki, Mesa, AZ, Kristyn Larsen, Fort Wayne, IN, Matthew Krywicki, Longmeadow, MA; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jill Markoff and Beverly Bozin both of Tempe AZ.
