Betti Lawrence Rigdon, age 89, passed away, August 11, 2023 in Tallahassee, Florida. She was born March 2, 1934 in New Orleans, LA. Betti grew up in Panama City where she attended Cove School and Bay County High School. She graduated from Florida State University in 1956. Although she lived in other places, she always considered Panama City home and loved the beaches and St. Andrews Bay.
She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, John "Nick" Rigdon. Betti and Nick moved to Tallahassee in 1988. She is survived by her loving daughters, Julie Roughton Murphree of Thomasville, GA and Laurie Roughton of Tallahassee, FL. A private family service will be held at a later date.
