Bertie Willene Berry, 86, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away on April 26, 2020.
Willene was born on March 13, 1934, in Fort Payne Alabama to Leslie and Flora Hunt, married to William Leon Berry in Dallas, Georgia, January 14, 1955. She worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years until retirement.
Preceded in death by her husband William Leon Berry, son-in-law, Garner Burgess Williams III, sisters Rosa Jacobs, Mary Hurtt, and Betty Johnson, as well as Parents, Leslie & Flora Hunt. Survived by daughter, Joni Berry Williams, daughter, Lisa Berry Hughes, son-in-law, Jeff Hughes, and son William Greggory Berry; seven grandchildren, Jake, Kyle, Haley, Zack, Austin, Matthew, and Logan and eight great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Willene was a Godly woman who cared deeply for others and often showed her love through food. In her free time she spent countless hours serving the local church and sharing the gospel. She was an absolutely amazing woman and will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew her. Willene also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
