Berta Brise?o Nombrano, 96, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022, in Jourdanton, Texas. She was born on February 25, 1926, in Hindes, Texas to the late Nicasio and Serafina (Piedra) Brise?o.
Berta was a devote catholic that loved to travel with her husband, going to casinos, playing cards and bingo with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Baldomero Nombrano; infant son, Ernesto Nombrano; brothers, Cesario, Presentation (Tacho), Vidal, Eugenio and Macario Brise?o; sisters, Elena Alaniz, Juanita Alaniz, Julia Brise?o, Petra Gallegos and Rumalda Munoz.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm. A mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, starting at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Charlotte Community Cemetery.
