90, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021 in Clearwater, FL at Emerald Garden where she received loving care and kindness from the staff. She was born in Joplin, MO and spent the majority of her life in the Joplin and Grove, OK area. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James N. Moore; father and mother, Jess and Vivian Mink; sister and brother, Wynonia Hinds and Lloyd Mink. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Vessell and her partner, Carol Cross; Nadier Combrie; her beloved dog Precious "Poppy", a sister-in-law, Fran Dehmlow, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Berniece retired from AT&T after 33 years devoted to Operator Services. She then spent several years working in real estate with Century 21. Berniece was active in many social organizations including AT&T Pioneers, American Legion, Elks, Moose Lodge, Red Hat Society, and Aerobic Divas. She and James were very active members in the St. James United Methodist Church of Joplin, and joined the Heritage United Methodist Church upon moving to Dunedin, FL. They, along with their dog and kitties, moved to Dunedin in 2012 in order to be close to their daughter and her partner. There they enjoyed their remaining years. A visitation will be held at 1:30 pm on May7th at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens with a memorial service to follow, 1750 Curlew Road in Palm Harbor.
