Bernard Leroy Nobel was born December 4, 1931 to Henry and Hilda (Moorlag) Nobel in Hull, Iowa. He grew up in the Hull area on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Adeline Kok December 12, 1951 at Adeline's family home. They lived for a short time in Iowa before he was drafted. He served overseas in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. After his service ended, Pease became their home. He started his electrical career at Jensen-Andersen Plumbing & Heating and Strombeck Electric in Milaca. He earned his journeyman's license and went on to attain his master electrical license. He owned and operated Nobel Electric & Son for over 40 years until his retirement in 2018.
Bernard enjoyed tinkering-be it with tools or on a tractor in the field. In his later years, it was his cellphone and laptop. He challenged himself to learn the keyboard in his 90's.
