Benjamin L. Robbins

Mr. Benjamin L. Robbins, 70, of 3730 E. 7th St. died Saturday in a Port St. Joe hospital. He was a life-long resident of the area, a self-employed boat builder and a member of the Springfield Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Susie G. Robbins of Springfield; six daughters, Alice Morris of Bayou George, Meitie Renfroe, Francis Gillman and Linda Robbins, all of Springfield, Margaret Merckle of Valparaiso and Gladys Delgato of San Diego; five sons, Donald and Willie Gene Robbins, both of Springfield, Jimmy Robbins of Panama City, Benjamin Robbins of Pine Log, Fla. and Andrew Robbins of Lakeland; 35 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Springfield Community Church, with the Rev. J.W. Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Callaway Cemetery.
