Benjamin Clay Bunton, 22 years young of Martinsville, passed unexpectedly from this life on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his residence. Clay, as he was lovingly referred, was born on Sunday, June 8, 1997 in Franklin, Indiana. He is the oldest and beloved son of Benjamin Lee Bunton and Erin Brook (Stout) Outcalt.
Clay graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 2016 and from Lincoln Technical Institute in 2017. He had currently been working for Mercer Machining in Indianapolis as a machinist.
On his brief time on earth, Clay made a huge impact on all who knew him. He was loved deeply by his family and friends and will be missed beyond comprehension. A young man with an old soul, Clay loved the outdoors and simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed fishing, taking car rides on the backroads of Indiana, music, and visiting his grandparents' house for doses of what he lovingly called, "life's lessons from Papaw".
He leaves behind a host of family and friends to cherish his memory including his wife, Kaitlyn J. (Steinway) Bunton; whom he married on May 18, 2019; mother and step-father, Erin and Fred Outcalt; father and step-mother, Ben and Ashley Bunton; two sisters, Andrea Carter and Tatum Cazee; five brothers, Aiden, Kyson, Grayson and Cooper Bunton and Landon Cazee; maternal grandparents, Steve & Shelia Scott and Gary & Bev Stout; paternal grandparents, Donald & Romaine Sparks and Tom & Cindy Bunton all of Martinsville and his beloved four-legged best buddy, Chunk.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside memorial celebrating Clay's life on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 beginning at 11:00 am in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville. His final arrangements have been entrusted to Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville.
