Benito E. Mu?oz, Sr., 90, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 26, 2021 at his home in Mission surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Juana G. Mu?oz; a son Benito Jr.(Imelda); and daughters Berta Guerra (+Jaime), Belinda Garza (Ray), Belma Martinez (Arturo), Belicia Mu?oz, Brenda Zepeda (Luis) and Bilma Vela (Daniel); 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered as a caring, loving husband and father.
He was born to Felicitas and Pedro Mu?oz in Escobares, TX, served in the U.S. Army and retired from the City of Mission.
A viewing was held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission with burial to follow at the Rio Grande Valley Veterans Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the care of Flores Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, which are limited at the cemetery, donations can be made to the City of Mission, 721 Bryan Rd. Mission, TX 78572 in his memory.
