Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel
Mrs. Becky Jo Brackett Winn, age 89, of Plainville, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Winn was born in Gadsden, Alabama on October 30, 1935, daughter of the late Oscar Joshua Brackett and the late Viva Irene Minton Brackett. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Daniel "Bob" Winn, Sr., an infant son, Bobby Winn; sons-in-law, George A. "Jabo" Hall, Kenneth Hunt, and David Hennon; two brothers, Paul Brackett and Steve Brackett; three sisters, Tina Starky, Sandra Nelson, and Caroline Jenkins. She was a member of Liberty View Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a faithful believer in God and his glory and was always trying to follow the path He had for her. She worked at Floyd Medical Center as a Unit Clerk for 25 plus years. She did her work so well that she taught classes for other unit secretaries for several years. Mrs. Winn lived in Lindale for many years until she moved to Plainville with family due to health issues.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Hall, Robin Hennon (Jill Shope), and Elaine Matthews (Thomas); a son, Robert Daniel Winn, Jr. (Terri); brothers, Larry Brackett (Mary), Jimmy Brackett (Spence), and Michael Brackett; a sister-in-law, Jane Jones; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; twenty-five great-great grandchildren; thirteen great-great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Champion and Rev. Buddy Floyd officiating. Graveside service followed at Attalla City Cemetery in Attalla, Alabama with Rev. Thomas Matthews officiating.
The family received friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 11am until 12:45pm.
Pallbearers were asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday at 12:30pm and included Jamie Hennon, Joe Hennon, Joseph Hennon, David Nicholson, Mark Gay, and Bo Hall.
