Barron K. Beard, 55, of Napoleon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 22, 2022. He was born on March 2, 1966 to Ronald and Kathryn (Burdue) Beard of Napoleon. On September 4, 1993 he married Leta Bowman, whom survives. Barron honorably served our country in the United State Marine Corps. He was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church of Defiance. He attended Ohio State Barber College and worked as a barber for thirty-two years. He was also working at Campbell Soup Company.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and martial arts. Back in the day he was an assistant coach for his sons baseball team. He was a true family man and made them his number one priority. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leta Beard; children, Keith Beard, Ryan Bowman, Darby Beard and Barron Beard; grandchildren, Braxton, Landen, Brayden and Rowen; mother, Kathryn Beard; sister, Kelly (Chuck) Wilcox and brother, Brent (Amber) Beard. He is also survived by his grandmother, Iona Burdue along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Beard, grandfather, George Burdue and grandparents, Donald and Maude Beard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Walker-Hoening Mortuary (333 W. Main St.) of Napoleon from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services with military honors will follow on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 12pm with visitation one hour prior to the services. Pastor Chris Crowe will be officiating.
