Barbara Lou Tartsah Stoner, 77, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beloved mother, granny, sister's, friend, and pillar of her community. Barbara Lou Tartsah was born on February 13, 1948, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Reverand Lincoln Tartsah Sr. and Laveda Autaubo Tartsah. Barbara Stoner was a member of the Kiowa tribe of Oklahoma. She was a descendant of Millie Durgan and Zepko-ette (BIG BOW). Her greatest joys were her children Shannon and Sean, grandchildren Austin and Bryce, great-grandchildren Easton and Kinsley, and the time she spent nurturing them. She was a life time member of her home church Ware's Chapel United Methodist church in Anadarko, Oklahoma. But was also an affiliated member with Hunting Horse United Methodist church in Lawton Oklahoma. She is survived by her daughter Shannon McLaughlin of the home, son Sean Stoner of the home. Grandchildren Austin McLaughlin and wife Kimberly of Alvarado, Texas, Bryce McLaughlin of Crowley, Texas. Great grandkids Easton and Kinsley McLaughlin. Sisters Charlene Tartsah Taylor, Emily Sue Tartsah DeLand, and Donnie Maxine Tartsah PoorBuffalo. Two Uncles William Tartsah and Frank Tartsah. She was preceded in death by her father Reverand Lincoln Tartsah Sr, mother Laveda Autaubo Tartsah, brother Lincoln Tartsah Jr., Grandparents Charles Joe Tartsah and Mary BigBow Tartsah, George Autaubo and Claira Satepeahtaw Autaubo. She loved her five nieces and one nephew and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special friends Myrt Nestell and Donna Bowman. Special sister/cousin's Margie Darby Pence, Pepper Harjo and Beverly Quoyah.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Visitation: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2025
