Barbara Ann (Schneider) Clemens, born December 24, 1935, passed away September 14, 2023 surrounded lovingly by her husband and family. Barbara was born in Detroit, MI to the late Frank and Stella Schneider. Barbara attended St. Alphonsos Catholic School and received her bachelor's degree in medical technology from Mercy College in Detroit.
Barbara was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Cadillac and Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. Barbara retired from Michigan Community Blood Center where she worked for over 20 years. Barbara loved reading, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Barbara, and her husband Robert, met during her senior year of college. They married on May 9, 1959, and lived most of their married life in St. Charles, Michigan. Robert survives his wife. Together they raised three children, Cathy (John) Walker, Royal Palm Beach FL, Julie (Lyle) Davis, Frankenmuth, MI, and Chris (Tammy) Clemens, Bay City, MI. They also enjoyed spending time with their 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Barbara loved to spend her summers in Lake City, MI. After retirement, Barbara spent her time in both Lake City, MI and Port St. Lucie, FL.
Barbara is survived by one sister, Winifred. She is predeceased by her parents and 6 siblings.
Memorial services are being planned and will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
