Barbara A. (Casper) Reisner passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, May 24, 2021 in Centennial, CO. She was born in Cannelton, IN on October 30, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred J. and Etta B. (Gabbert) Casper, and sister Mary Casper.
She graduated from North High School in Evansville, Indiana in 1961 and received both bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana State University. Barbara taught 36 years in elementary education in Terre Haute, Crawfordsville, and North Montgomery School Corporation retiring in 2005 to spend time with her beloved family and friends.
"Babs", as she was lovingly called since childhood, was a member of First Baptist Church, Indiana Retired Teachers, Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association, PEO, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She loved spending time with her bridge group, book club, Sunday school class, and volunteering at her church and FISH Food Pantry. Babs will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and strong faith in the Lord.
She is survived by her son, Brook (June) Reisner of Plainfield, IL and grandchildren, Alex and Kiley Reisner; her daughter, Kristen (Aaron) Carlson of Denver, CO and grandchildren, Hunter, Ava, and Ethan Carlson; her sister Cathy Casper of Evansville, IN and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 3rd at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church in Crawfordsville. The service is open to all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Babs to First Baptist Church located at 1905 Lebanon Road.
