Barbara Diane Miles, 67, of Bluffton, SC died peacefully at home on March 17, 2023. "Diane" was the daughter of Percy and Barbara Newton. Diane is survived by the love of her life and husband John Wojtulewicz. She is also survived by two sons, Jason (Kelly) and Brent (Kate); two beautiful adopted daughters Bridget and Julie (Ben); four grandchildren, Madison, Dakota, Bryce and Quinn; sister Linda (Doug), brother Jim (Cheryl) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Once widowed, she was preceded in death by Bill Miles.
Diane lived most of her life in towns around the Buffalo, NY area where she taught autistic children in local schools. She loved community volunteering and for years was a senior member of the Southtowns Civil Air Patrol. Diane also founded the Operation Soldier Support group that worked with local schools collecting care packages for our troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. Twice a year she would teach "Captivating" women's groups where many had suffered abuse. Women received healing in many ways and went on to live fruitful lives. Diane loved the outdoors and camping. She hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with her son Jason and she and Brent enjoyed taking skydiving lessons together and she ended her skydiving career with over 150 jumps. Diane's humor, energy and love of life will be greatly missed.
