Barbara Susan McDonald passed away on July 25, 2023. She was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 7, 1936, raised by Frank and Hortense Kleschult as an only child. Barbara married into a family with 11 children and wanted to have a big family of her own, writing in her high school yearbook that she "wanted to be the mother of many", and so she was. Barbara was very involved with Immaculate Conception Church in Watertown, MN strong in her Catholic faith, she was extremely creative, talented artist, entrepreneur, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A friend, counselor, and prayer warrior to everyone that was blessed to meet her.
Barbara is survived by her children Mary (Bob), Anne, Frank (Jenny), Kenny (Patricia), Joe (Rachel) Peter (Tracy), Susan (Steve) and son-in-law Rob, grandchildren, Luke (Trisha), Molly (Caz), Melissa (Mitch), Matthew, Andrew (Kelly), Bryan (Liz), Alex (Ashley), Jacob, Aiden, Miranda (Alec), Morgan and Patriot. Great grandchildren, Quinn, Olivia, Teagan, Waylon, Sam, Willow, Ruby, Mason, Easton, Grayson, and Emery. Barbara is preceded by her husband KJ, mother Hortense and father Frank.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 109 Angel Ave NW, Watertown, MN 55388 on Friday August 4, 2023, with a gathering at 10:00am Mass at 11:00am. The Wake will be held Thursday August 3, 2023, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with a 3:30pm rosary service at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown MN.
Barbara will be missed by the thousands of people she has met throughout her life. The intensity of her love was infectious. Her faith, laughter, humor, love, support, and her openness to every child of God was always guided by her faith. She is a strong prayer warrior and will be even stronger now. As she would say, "God Bless, I will be praying for you". We are going to miss you mom and looking forward to our reunion in Heaven.
