Barbara June Branyon Bradford Yarborough, 82, Brandon, MS passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
Barbara was born in Lamar County, AL on March 4, 1938, to the late Cecil and Agnes Mathis Branyon, and was (except for a period of 20 years in the 60's and 70's), a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS, where she attended S.D. Lee High School. The last year of her life was spent in Ridgeland, Mississippi at Highland Home Nursing Home, where her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were able to visit and spend time with her. She was a retired secretary from Gholson Hicks and Nichols in Columbus where she served her beloved employer, Hunter Gholson, for over 25 years. In Columbus, after her retirement, she was a volunteer with the Columbus Arts Council and an avid bridge player and loved her church and visiting with her friends. In addition to her parents, all her brothers and sisters, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sedgie Yarborough.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Susan Dorroh, Brandon, MS, Nancy Romero, (Jerry Romero), Lafayette, La, Son, Brad Bradford, Fort Worth, Texas, 5 grandchildren, Miles Dorroh and JC Dorroh, Jason (Lauren) Romero and Callie (Bryan) Moczygemba, Luke Bradford, and five great-grandchildren, Magdalene, Jude, Adele, Anne Frances and Joseph Romero.
It was Barbara's last wishes to be cremated and her ashes buried next to her Beloved Parents' graves in Millport Alabama at Macedonia Cemetery. A graveside ceremony is planned for Saturday Oct 17, 2020, at 2:00 pm, 865 Macedonia Church Circle, Macedonia Cemetery, Millport Alabama. Family and Friends are invited.
