Barbara J. (Hutton) Reidy

Collingswood, NJ and long-time resident of Longport, New Jersey. With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a beloved mother and friend who touched the lives of many during her time with us. Barbara Hutton Reidy was born on June 18, 1945 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and called Longport, NJ home for much of her life. Raised in Margate and Linwood, NJ, and graduated from Mainland Regional High School in 1963. She also attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.



She is predeceased by her parents, Elsie Cooper and Aloysius Hutton. Survived by her daughters Gretchen Winterbottom (Linda Vassallo) and Shaunessy Reidy, her sisters Diane Hardcastle Sbrolla and Patricia Fraser; nephews Scott Hardcastle (Amy), Casey Fraser (Sandy) and niece Pamela Hardcastle Gerety (George).

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her children, whom she adored. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and cherished memories created with her loved ones. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as the beach, her dogs, reading, and exploring the beauty of nature surrounding Longport by the sea. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to have their lives touched by her presence.



A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on November 4th 2023 from 10am to 12pm in Collingswood, NJ. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Blake-Doyle Funeral Home and share their fondest memories of this remarkable woman.



As we say our goodbyes to Barbara, let us remember her with joy and gratitude for the precious time we spent together. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory bring comfort to all those who mourn her loss.
