Our sweet Bobbie went into the hands of our Father on July 7, 2020 at Levine Dickson Hospice house at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC.
Bobbie Haight was born on December 21, 1937, in Woodbury, New Jersey, the second daughter of Nell and William Kerr. She will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, her smile and spunk, her deep love of family, and thoughtful gestures and words that never ended until her last days. She remains in our hearts and is an inspiration to the family as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gordon Eugene Haight of Plantation Estates in Matthews, NC, son Scott Kerr Haight of Dyersburg TN, daughter Susan Lea Haight Robinson (Donald) of Charlotte NC , grandchildren Elizabeth Valentine Haight Hawthorne (Shawn), Parker Kerr Barlow, and Julia Louise Haight of Charlotte, NC, Charles Andrew Steven Haight (Betsy), Vladimir Fox Haight, and Aleksander Scott Haight of Memphis, TN, Spencer Vasily Haight, Artem Kerr Haight, and Nicholas Earroll Haight of Dyersburg, TN. She is also survived by a great granddaughter Emmaline Leigh Haight of Memphis, TN, her sister Emily Kerr Ballentine (Richard) of Shawnee Mission, KS, and her Sisters-in-law Marlene Haight Pohl of Fairport NY and Phyllis Haight Buchanan of AZ.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her son, Steven Eugene Haight, daughter-in-law Virginia Valentine Fox Haight, and granddaughter, Svetlana Hunneyman Haight.
A private service to honor Bobbie's life will be held at St. Stephen United Methodist Church on Friday, July 10, at 2 pm at 6800 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC 28270.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
