Barbara Bishop Christian has walked through the pearly gates of Heaven. While watching a Billy Graham Crusade, Barbara came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her faith has never wavered. She grew up in Cleveland, graduating in 1967 from The Andrews School for Girls in Mentor, Ohio. Barbara has lived all over Northeast Ohio spending the last 33 years in Akron.
She joins her son, Daniel Walker McGee Christian. Barbara leaves behind husband of 47 years, Allen Jr. (Duke, Daisy & Wags); children, David (Jeannie), Aimee (Joe), Amanda, Andrew (Sharon); grandchildren, Daniel (Erica), Jesse, Alex, Lamont, Naomi, and Jayden; brother, Max (Diane).
In lieu of flowers, Barb desired donations made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in her honor.
Visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Knopp officiating. Interment will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Ohio.
