Barbara Lathrop, 66, of Bristol, wife of Gerald "Jerry" Lathrop, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 30, 2022. Born on December 3, 1955 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Richard U. and Reatha (Hughes) Birge. Barbara worked for many years as a Home Health Aide, caring for those who had trouble caring for themselves. She was an excellent cook and had a very kind soul. Barbara will be remembered for her love of carnations and her fantastic cheesecake. Besides her husband Jerry, Barbara is survived by her three brothers Gary, Richard, and Glenn Birge; her father-in-law Donald Lathrop; her sister-in-law Jean Hagan and her husband Brian; her sister-in-law Susan Reinwald and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her brother Craig Birge. There are no services currently and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
