Mr. Ginn was born in Snow Hill, North Carolina and moved to Goldsboro after school. He owned and operated a grocery store and wholesale candy business for many years. In 1951, he was called to service in the Army, so he closed both of his businesses. After his active duty he returned to Goldsboro and within a short period he was recruited by the CIA due to his superior efficiency rating while in the Army. In 1957, he returned to Goldsboro and had a wholesale tobacco and candy business and after selling this business in 1968 he moved to Daytona Beach where he managed the Halifax River Yacht Club for 16 years. After a short retirement, Mr. Ginn opened a catering business at The Palmetto Club in Daytona Beach. He enjoyed his catering business for many years and sold this business in 1998. The catering company is still in business and is operating under Ginn Enterprises today. Mr. Ginn returned to Goldsboro in 2007.
