Avon passed away suddenly at home September 4. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby (married 67 years), her parents Rena & Voshell, daughter Dawn, brother Vernon. Survived by daughter Molly(David), son in law Kevin, grandchildren Sarah, Shawn, Shane (Jen), Katie, cousin Nancy, great granddaughter Taylor, and a
special daughter & friend Lorraine.
Avon enjoyed volunteering, she helped write "Cordova As We Remember 1875-1981". She was a basic EMT for
Cordova Volunteer Fire Assoc., and was in their Ladies Auxiliary for nearly 70 years.
There will be a Memorial Meal Sunday, October 27 at 2 pm, at the Cordova Volunteer Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Cordova Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc., PO Box 102, Cordova, MD 21625.
Avon donated her body to medical science.
