Avis Ann Severson, age 87, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
Avis was born January 22, 1935 to Grace and Klemment Klemmedson, in Kankakee IL. She graduated in 1953 from South Beloit High School, attended one year at Rockford College, and worked thirty-three years as an accountant at Beloit Corporation. Avis married Louis W. Severson on August 26, 1972.
She was a member of St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rockton, IL. After retirement she volunteered at Caritas and through the Literacy Council.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Severson; her daughter, Kolleen Klemmedson; two granddaughters, Jessika Jamir and Tali Jamir (Sean Cusick); four sisters-in-law, Shirley, Thelma, Roberta and Rene; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and three brothers-in-law.

A Celebration of Life for Avis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in the Daley Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit WI. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service in the funeral home.
