Audrey Stewart

Stewart, Audrey (Schlesinger) TROY Audrey (Schlesinger) Stewart passed away peacefully in her sleep with her brother, Bob, at her side on April 14, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Ethel Brower Schlesinger and stepdaughter of the late Ruth Ceroni. She was a 1950 graduate of Lansingburgh High School. Audrey was an executive secretary in the area for many years and had been employed at Ford Motor Co., Tractor and Implement Division and Machine Technology, both in Latham, Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs and Utica National Insurance Group in Albany from which she retired. Audrey was a member of the Women of Trinity in Lansingburgh and the Speigle Elders Senior Group. She enjoyed attending music theatre, golfing and having lunch and dinner with friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Stewart. She was the sister of Robert E. Schlesinger (Betty) of Troy and North Carolina, David M. Schlesinger (Chow) of South Korea, and the late Bernard "Frank" Schlesinger and Carol Gottfried. She was the stepmother of Alan Stewart (Mary Anne) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Nancy Gregoritch (Dale) of Greensburg; and step-grandmother of Stacey Westerburg (Russell), Kelly Mastro (Dennis), Jill Downes, Erica Gregoritch, Mairead and Sean Stewart. She was the step-great-grandmother of Jack Schaefer Westerburg, Colin Robert, Samuel Alexander and Charles Michael Spadinger. She was the aunt of Christy, Nike, Kate and Daniel Schlesinger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Tuesday, June 7, at 11 a.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 115th Street and 4th Avenue, in Lansingburgh.
