Aubrey Owen Fletcher, 60, of Marion Station, MD, passed away Friday April 22, 2022 after a lengthy stay at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD.
Born in McConnellsburg, PA on January 12, 1962, he was the son of the late Carl Fletcher and Ada (Hendershot) Fletcher and is preceded in death by his brother Adriel Fletcher.
Aubrey or "Fletch", as many knew him, was raised in Warfordsburg, PA and he often spoke of helping on his grandfather's dairy farm during his youth. He graduated from South Fulton High School in 1979. Fletch retired from Eastern Correctional Institution as decorated lieutenant, firearms and defensive tactics instructor. Most recently, he worked at Green Hill Yacht and Country Club, where his skills were showcased in fixing and maintaining every piece of equipment and every corner of the grounds.
He was an avid outdoorsman and gearhead. Aubrey loved to cook and grill for his friends and family. He enjoyed traveling the country, campground to campground, with his dogs and wife riding shotgun; and their camper and motorcycles in tow.
He is survived by his devoted partner of 30 years and wife of 24 years, Karen Raimundo; three sisters Carla (Fletcher) Long, Aletha (Fletcher) Bageant, and Alanna Fletcher; one son Tim Raimundo; nieces and nephews, Kevin Cubbage, Michelle Bageant, AJ Fletcher, Mitchel Fletcher, and Avery Fletcher; one granddaughter, Lilah Raimundo; dog, Gomez; and countless other family members and close friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a visitation will be one hour prior. All are welcome to come and celebrate Aubrey's life.
