Aubrey Gordon Adams, age 72, passed away peacefully on Oct 8, 2020 at his home in Gray, Ga.
He was born on February 17, 1948 in Roanoke, Virginia and graduated from Franklin County High School and Ferrum College. He was a resident of Marietta, Georgia for forty-five years and was the owner and operator of Gordon Adams Photography for twenty-four years. He was a member of the Georgia Professional Photographers Association (GPPA) and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
Gordon had a great love for his business and was happiest with a camera in his hands and his grandchildren in his arms. He had a great love for Jesus and loved sharing his faith. He was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and baptism classes for thirty-five years. Gordon loved to laugh and play jokes on his faithful close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Estelle Adams. Gordon is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Lane Mellon Adams; his daughter Robyn Adams Brennaman and son-in-law Paul Brennaman; granddaughters AnnaKate, Millie and Lucy Brennaman whom he adored; sister Stephanie Adams, brother Andrew Adams and wife Mollie, both of Roanoke, Virginia, and sister and brother-in-law Jane and Barry Stacey of Savannah, Georgia, formerly of Marietta, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunt whom he dearly loved. A reception in honor of Gordon, will be held on Sunday, November 1st, at the home of Robyn Brennaman.
