Astrid Elizabeth Peacock, known as "Triddy," 85, died May 6, 2022 in Tampa, Florida. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Triddy moved to Florida as a young girl and grew up in Lake Worth. She graduated from the University of Florida, where she met Robert "Carroll" Peacock, her beloved husband of 64 years. Triddy and Carroll married, moved back to West Palm Beach and raised their family there. She served as president of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches and was a member of the board of WPTV Channel 2. She was also a member of PEO, a philanthropic organization that promotes educational opportunities for women throughout the world. An avid birdwatcher, Triddy enjoyed all aspects of nature and took great delight in time spent at Apple Lake in Highlands, NC. She loved traveling, always eager to learn more about the world. Bridge, tennis, golf and croquet were among the games she loved to play. A voracious reader, she never tired of discussing books and ideas. Her enthusiasm for poems, puzzles, riddles and proper grammar was well-known, most notably by her grandchildren. The joy of Triddy's life was her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who taught by example, never complained and always put others first. Though she suffered from Parkinson's Disease for 18 years, she accepted the challenges of the disease with dignity and grace, offering a smile and kind word to everyone she encountered. In addition to her husband, Carroll, Triddy was predeceased by parents Astrid Dahlberg and Roy Reindel, sister Phyllis Hoffman, and aunt and uncle Victoria and Russell Morrow. She is survived by three children: Steven Peacock, Jill Peacock Raich (Michael) and Victoria Peacock Malizia (David); six grandchildren: Gunnar and Peter Raich; Cole (Maggie), Anna Peyton, Kent and Maggie Malizia; and two nephews: Russ Hoffman and Gary Hoffman. A private family service will be held May 20th at The Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Triddy's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Ste 800, Miami FL 33131; www.parkinson.org.
