Miss Ashley Lynn Humphries, 48, passed away on April 12, 2021 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ashley was born on September 26, 1972 to James Kent Humphries and Elizabeth Ann Newsom Humphries in Forsyth County. Ashley attended UNC Charlotte and graduated with a BA in Business in 1994. Her last three places of employment where she worked as a Sales Manager were Acosta, Skinny Pop and Waterloo. Ashley enjoyed being outdoors, whether hiking, running or enjoying a good Panthers game with friends. Above all, Ashley loved Jesus with all of her heart and is joyfully with him. In a text to a friend this past Thanksgiving, these were her words: "Thanksgiving will look different this year, but this has sure taught me what is important in life. None of the "stuff" matters. God. Family. Friends. And the only thing we take with us is our relationship with God. It makes me realize even more that this is not my home. I'm just continuing to try to look up and trust my good Father." Surviving are her loving parents, Jim and Liz Humphries and sister, Susan Humphries. A Celebration of Ashley's Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church (Peace Haven location) with pastor John Hackworth officiating. Covid protocols will be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any of the following: Robinhood Road Baptist Church (Missions) located at 5422 Robinhood Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, Calvary Baptist Church (Missions) located at 134 South Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104, Trellis (Hospice) located at 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103 and West Haven Baptist Church (Missions) located at 2580 Old Glory Road, Clemmons, NC 27012.
