Arthur E. Sinotte, 98, passed away at home following a brief illness.
Arthur was born in Concord on November 29, 1923, the son of the late Eli and Roseanna (Maltais) Sinotte.
Arthur was educated in Concord Schools before joining the US Army. He served in the European Theatre Military Police Battalion from 1943-1946. When he returned home he worked briefly for the City of Concord and then went to work as a telephone installer and repair man for New England Telephone for more than 25 years.
Arthur spent many happy hours doing small engine repair as a hobby. He loved spending time at his cottages on Lake Winnipesaukee and later Hampton Beach. He was a lifelong member of American Legion Post 21, a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus, and a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Arthur is survived by his brother, Richard Sinotte and his wife, Carol of Fort Pierce, Florida, his god daughters, Rose Savino of Concord and Sandra Mitchell of Gardner, MA; nephew-in-law, George Goulet Jr., of Manchester, as well as many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Arthur was predeceased by his brothers, Paul, Roland, and Francis; and his beloved wife of 68 years, Juanina (Jenovese) Sinotte.
The family wishes to thank his care givers from MAS, Mary Lynn, Laurie, Noelle, and Cheryl. We also extend our thanks to the Eldercare program at Concord Hospital and Granite VNA for their services over the years, and Granite VNA Hospice for his end of life care.
We will miss his wonderful sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone in need, his lively interest in all things, and his kind and generous heart.
At Arthur's request there will be no calling hours.
