Arthur Scott, age 101, passed away on August 29, 2021 in Akron, Ohio after a short illness. He was a committed husband, father, and grandfather. Arthur was a WWII veteran, where he was Chief Draftsman in the HQ War Room of the China/Burma/India Theater and drew the maps for 5 Generals who lead the invasion of Burma. He knew all details of the invasion and was told "Soldier keep your mouth shut!" He was a music teacher in the Corning School District for 20 years and a talented furniture restorer after retiring from teaching. Arthur was an Elder at Faith Lutheran Church in Corning and was a man of faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Scott is survived by his daughter Rachel (Dennis) Weaver; grandsons Stephen, David (Wendy) and Erin (Karen); 5 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way. A graveside service was held in Lexington, KY on September 3, 2021. Services for Arthur Scott were entrusted to the Billow Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
