Arthur "Artie" Harold Pullets, 77, of West Columbia, died on Monday, October 4, 2021. Born December 15, 1943, in Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late George Arthur Pullets and Margaret Kyritz Pullets.
Growing up in the Bronx, Artie was a star athlete who loved sports. He moved to Columbia in 1966. A proud US ARMY Veteran, Mr. Pullets served from 1962 to 1963 in Korea. Artie went on to work in law enforcement for 17 years before making the transition to being a private investigator for 20 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debra "Debbie" M. Pullets; children, Angela Martene Pullets, Farah Lauren Pullets Avila, Andrew Arthur Pullets (Gina), Amanda Gayle Pullets Brown, Thomas Earl Hicks; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Pullets McGrath, Arline Pullets Kubat. In addition to his parents, Artie was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Patrick John McGrath.
A funeral service for Mr. Pullets will be held 1 o'clock, Monday, October 11, 2021, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel. The family will greet friends Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 3 until 5 o'clock at the funeral home. All are invited to attend; however, masks are required, and social distancing is encouraged to maintain a safe environment for all.
