Arthur Ray Pitts, 78, of Lee County died at his residence on October 14, 2020.
His funeral service will be at 1 PM on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the graveside at Crown Hill Cemetery. Steve Hurley will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery.
Mr. Pitts was born on October 11, 1942 in Albany, GA to Cecil and Zelda Pitts of Albany, GA. He grew up in Albany. He was a retired letter carrier for the US Postal Service. Mr. Pitts was an avid golfer. At age 72, he scored a hole-in-one at River Point Country Club. Mr. Pitts was a Christian of Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pitts, his son, Timothy Ray Pitts, and his brothers, Bobby L. Pitts, John Rodney Pitts, all of Albany.
Survivors include a daughter: Dana Rae Pitts Smith; granddaughters: Audrey Rae Smith (Stephen Bell), Lauren Lee Cook (Stuart), all of Sylvester, Cassidy Rae Pitts, Caitlin Pitts, all of Ft. Bragg, CA; a grandson: Colton Lee Pitts, Ft. Bragg, CA; a great granddaughter: Sadi Bell, Sylvester; a great grandson: Layne Bell and waiting for the arrival Olivia Cook, all of Sylvester; a brother: Richard Pitts, Eufaula, AL.
