Arthur Mucci III passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 in Chandler, Texas. He was born on December 27, 1930 in Somerville, MA to Arthur Jr. and Rose Ranzino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jane and brother Eugene.
Art loved working around his lake house, and especially enjoyed relaxing with family and friends. He was an avid New England sports fan and attended many sporting events to see his favorite Boston teams. Art was a civil engineer who held executive and sales positions throughout his entire career. He moved to Texas in 1974 after being promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales at Richmond Screw Anchor Co. The 'Boston Cowboy' quickly adapted to the country and western lifestyle. He loved country music and dancing which led to the meeting of his beloved wife, Jane. They spent many years traveling and enjoyed the Texas coast. His trips included; Las Vegas, Shreveport and Italy and he enjoyed the trips with his brother Gene and Sister-In-Law Sandy. Arthur's personality was big and bold. There wasn't a room he entered where his big smile and outgoing personality were not noticed. He made friends with everyone he met.
He is survived by his children David, Donna, Diane and Denise; his granddaughter, Miranda Fite and great-grandson, Luca Villagran.
He will be greatly missed.
Our special thanks to the staff and nurses at Chandler Nursing Center for their loving care the past 5 years and most recently the extra care from Solaris Healthcare.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 2:00 PM at Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
