Help us celebrate Arthur! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Arthur.
As a boy growing up in Brooklyn in the 1940's, he always knew he wanted to build and design things. He became an engineer at NASA and helped build the life support systems that put the first man on the moon. He was also part of the team that helped save the Apollo 13 crew. He wrote papers for the Space Station that still get cited today. He was very intelligent and became an amazing cook.
He was married to Penelope Linton for 57 years. He always said he remembered exactly how she looked on their wedding day coming down the aisle. He loved her dearly and deeply.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Penelope; his sons, Shay and Michael; his daughter-in-law Heather; his sister Elain Rizzuto; and his niece, Lori Pittman.
He was a resilient man who survived 4 different kinds of cancers along with other health struggles. He endured numerous surgeries in stride. He is a true example of internal strength and a strong will that will never be forgotten.
