Arthur "Al" Allen Lehmann, age 63 of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully on Aug. 17, 2024, at his home in Apple Valley, surrounded by family and lots of love.
Al and Kelly Marek were married in 1985 and began a wonderful life together filled with joy, laughter, and love. They created the most incredible life for their kids, Al being a hands on, supportive Dad, guiding his children until the very end. Al worked as a sheet metal engineer and treasured the last 19 years at Midwest Military. Out of all the roles Al played, the one he cherished most, the reason he was put on this earth was for the role of Papa. Al's unconditional and bursting love for his grandbabies gave him the strength to fight his battle with lung cancer over the last two years. Papa's spirit, and sass, will live on through them forever.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kelly; children, Joseph (Megan) and Emily; grandchildren, Oliver, Teddy and Amelia; bonus children, Tyler and Dylan; parents, Barbara and Arthur; siblings, Susan and John.
Al entered heaven to meet his grandparents, father, and mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and many friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude toward the Mayo Clinic for their fight, care and love for Al.
Visitation was from 4-7pm on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary. Funeral was held at 12noon on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Lebanon Cemetery at a later date.
